Hoops at Heard, Dinner at Hendrick’s

What a great day. Arizona certainly has it’s bright spots. Today couldn’t have been better to have the 18th Annual World Championship Hoop Dance Contest at the Heard Museum. It is February right? 77 degrees, clear skies, good company and great culture. I’m reminded of my grandfather, Everett McManus, the independent yet popular artist of Snohomish County, WA. I remember clearly my experience on horseback, the trips to the rodeo and the meticulous tepee in the pasture. He professed to be Native American reincarnated.

Follow this up with dinner outside at the Hendrick’s beautiful new home and it’s difficult to peice together a better afternoon and evening. So many thanks to the people of our lives who make this life so special.
